Job Description
The Mobile Technician is responsible for repair and maintenance of trucks and trailers on the customer's site.
Essential Functions

- Conduct satisfactory repairs on heavy-duty truck and trailer equipment on the customer's site.
- Read, interpret, and understand repair orders to address the needs of various customers.
- Conduct tests and measurements in order to diagnose and solve customer issues from minimal or non-technical descriptions provided by customers.
- Document the process used for customer's repairs by taking photos, and/or entering information into the dealer management system.
- Perform repair order completion tasks through a computer, tablet, or mobile device.
- Document repair process with pictures, and complete paperwork in a timely manner.
- Participate in required training for the role, and for corporate compliance.
- Advise Service Writer of any repairs/services needed to the equipment in the coming three months.
- Coordinate with the Service Writer and/or Parts department for parts needed in the repair and maintenance process.
Required Education & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- AND three or more years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- AND advanced knowledge of hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, diagnosis, removal and replacement of injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, rod and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, changing batteries, and replacing transmissions and other parts;
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- ASE Certification
